VSA (Voice Stress Analyzers) are at 92-95% accuracy and the mainstay in terms of polygraph alternatives. The VIPRE VSA & AVSAPRO Millennium are the most cost effective and powerful VSA - Voice Stress Analyzers on the market today.  Running on all versions of the Windows Operating System.  The VIPRE VSA and AVSAPRO are the ONLY VSA systems with touch screen capability.  Both VSA systems run on desktop, notebook, and tablet systems. VSA (Voice Stress Analyzer) based exams can be conducted on adults and children (10-18 years old). Not all children are suited for a polygraph or VSA examination.  The VSA system is far less invasive and the child does not have to sit totally still making the process much easier and productive.  The VSA system is suitable for Adults who are not Medically Qualified to take a polygraph exam. Some of these health conditions include heart/cardiac issues, pacemakers, uncontrolled or undiagnosed blood pressure problems, Type II Diabetics, and other health conditions. In some cases this includes Panic & Anxiety Disorders.  Some people with these disorders are simply unable to tolerate a polygraph examination. Pregnant women cannot be tested with a polygraph leaving a VSA system the best alternative. In some instances you have people, with no medical or psychological conditions, who simply cannot handle a polygraph examination.  Some people find it very hard to sit totally still during the examination process, as this is common with younger people.  VSA exams allow free movement of legs and arms for the most part during the examination. 

VSA (Voice Stress Analyzers) are in wide usage by many LE agencies and companies.  In Georgia VSA systems are in usage by various VSA manufacturers.  All VSA systems have a combined 20 plus year track record. The VIPRE VSA and AVSAPRO Millennium are non invasive, accurate, and often used in conjunction with polygraph testing. In addition to conducting exams in an office setting both VSA systems are self contained. Testing can be done aboard ship, aircraft, and vehicles. VSA systems are viable and very accurate alternatives to polygraph in terms of lie detection-truth verification. Unlike the polygraph where numerous sensors must be attached or special chairs, the  VSA systems only have one high performance sensor. The VIPRE VSA & AVSAPRO Millennium Systems utilize a specialized microphone attached to the subject to capture and analyze the subject’s verbal YES or NO responses. As the subject speaks, the computer displays each voice pattern, numbers it and saves each chart to file. The VIPRE VSA and AVSAPRO Millennium System use the YES and NO format in exams as does the polygraph.  One of the features of the AVSAPRO system is the analysis of telephone conversations, real time or taped, depositions, and other mediums. 

Professional Grade VSA (Voice Stress Analyzers) to include the VIPRE VSA and AVSAPRO Millennium  System records, quantifies and analyzes frequency changes in the human voice. When an individual is not being truthful the autonomic nervous system creates inaudible changes in the frequency of the human voice. During the VSA examination process, the instrument identifies vocal stress related to specific issues under investigation. Both systems are uniquely designed and like no other VSA systems on the market currently. 

The VIPRE VSA and AVSAPRO Millennium have operational advantages over the polygraph. If a person uses drugs, or has an undiagnosed medical and/or psychological issues this can impact the polygraph. These conditions DO NOT create a problem for the VIPRE VSA or AVSAPRO Millennium System. Regardless of a VSA or polygraph exam the subject has to be alert, aware as to conduct a successful examination. There are no known counter-measures in use against VSA systems. The Polygraph measures specific human factors such as blood pressure, breathing, respiration, galvanic skin changes, all of which can be manipulated by the examinee if he or she knows how to do it.  The ingestion of drugs before a polygraph exam, and not disclosed to the examiner can also impact the test.  Some polygraph examiners can detect drug based, and other countermeasures, as it can impact the examination.
